Etsy rearrange tool with paging!

Etsy made some changes that broke the extension.  Code has been updated and working again.

Added a search function in paging mode so you can search for items by title, regardless of which page(s) they are on.  Items on the currently selected page will appear with a yellow background, and all pages that have an item that match that search have a red box aound the page number on the left.

This is the newest modification to my Etsy Chrome extension (see original posting here) that now uses a paging mode.  On the left are buttons for each page of your items (24 items per page), and on the right are the items for the selected page.  Click on a page button to go to display the items on that page.  You can rearrange items on the displayed page by dragging and dropping them to new locations.  You can also drag an item onto one of the page buttons on the left to move it to that page.

Here’s a screenshot showing the layout.  On my screen I can display up to 108 pages (that’s 2582 items!) without any scrolling.  I boosted the page numbers to show how it would look with a lot of pages, it normally only displays the actual number of pages that your shop has.

It’s very easy to install and use:

1) Install the free extension from the Chrome webstore:

2) Go to your store edit page (https://www.etsy.com/shop/YOURSHOPNAME/edit)

3) The toolbox icon in the toolbar will become active. Click the toolbox to open the menu. etsy_toolbox_icon

4) Click the button for the mode you wish to use.

That’s it, now click and drag to rearrange your items! To return to regular display mode, either refresh the browser page or click the “View shop” button in the toolbox popup menu.

NOTE: This does not change the functionality of rearrange, it simply creates a wrapper around the native Etsy rearrange page.

    Great tool, Doug. Worked well for my 500 listings. But, now that Etsy has their own fix, do I need to uninstall yours?? And if so, how?

    Hi Doug: just been referred here with a query I have about moving one’s items about one’s Shops (which I can do with some hiccups, once I’ve got into the rhythym. However, in re-arranging them, does one then remove any filled in hearts at the same time? I notice when I’m doing Treasuries in particular, that some Shops present with no hearts at all to begin with: others one has to scroll down until you find an empty spot.
    Am just curious as to how it’s done, without necessarily re-listing the items (and then having to pay the .20c per item). My Scottish soul objects to paying Etsy more than they are strictly due every 4 months!!!

      Hi Isobel,
      This browser plugin is only for assisting in the rearranging of items for display in your shop. It doesn’t do anything with treasuries or hearts.
